SUGGESTED FABRIC

1. Cotton – Lightweight cotton or cotton poplin is ideal because it’s breathable, easy to work with, and comfortable to wear. It comes in a wide range of prints and colours, making it easy to create a playful or classic look. 

2. Double gauze – Double gauze is lightweight and soft, with a gentle texture that adds charm without bulk. It’s also breathable and ideal for warmer weather, making it comfortable for kids to wear all day. 

3. Cotton-linen blend – A cotton-linen blend combines the softness and durability of cotton with the natural texture of linen. It drapes nicely without being too heavy, and its slightly textured finish adds a relaxed yet stylish vibe. 

4. Muslin – Muslin is lightweight, breathable, and easy to sew. It offers a natural look and soft texture without adding extra bulk, making it perfect for a lined dress. 

5. Cotton jersey – For a more relaxed, casual version, cotton jersey is a great option. Its stretch makes it easy to move in, and it holds its shape well without becoming too heavy when layered with lining. 

6. Voile – Voile is another lightweight cotton fabric that’s slightly sheer with a crisp finish. It works well for a lined dress because it adds softness without weight, creating a light and airy feel. 

7. Corduroy (with lightweight lining) – Corduroy can add a charming, vintage-inspired touch to the Mini Tie Dress. To prevent it from feeling too heavy, use a lightweight cotton or batiste lining.

8. Flannel (with lightweight lining) – Flannel is soft and cozy, perfect for cooler seasons. To avoid making the dress too bulky, pair it with a thin cotton or voile lining.

PREPARATION

Pre-wash and dry all your fabrics as this will prevent your garment from shrinking. We recommend you read the instructions thoroughly before sewing.

PATTERN PRINTING (At Home (A4/Letter) / Copy Shop (A0) / Projector)

At Home (A4/Letter) :

When it comes to printing the pattern at home, we offer two versions. The first is a standard version that is 16 pages and includes all pattern pieces. The second option is 6 pages, saving you paper and ink. This option provides the measurements for the Skirts, Side Panels (both on the measurement sheet and pattern due to the notches), Sleeves, Ties and optional Pockets, rather than pattern pieces. Select the option that works best for you.

The files are organized in layers, allowing you to select and print your specific size when needed.

For your convenience, layer options for each size are included in the pattern. Please ensure that your printer settings are adjusted to a scale of 100% or set to ‘Actual Size’ for accurate printing. Paper orientation is set to automatic or landscape by default for your convenience.

A0 (Copy Shop) Option / Projector Option

We offer both A0 (Copy Shop) and Projector options. You can find the files in their respective folders. For your convenience, layer options for each size are included in the pattern.
