PREPARATION
Pre-wash and dry all your fabrics as this will prevent your garment from shrinking. We recommend you read the instructions thoroughly before sewing.

At Home (A4/Letter) :
When it comes to printing the pattern at home, we offer two versions.
The first is a standard version that is 36 pages and includes all pattern pieces. The second option is 20 pages, saving you paper and ink. This option provides the measurements for the Side Panel, Sleeves and Ties, rather than pattern pieces. Select the option that works best for you.
For your convenience, layer options for each size are included in the pattern. Please ensure that your printer settings are adjusted to a scale of 100% or set to ‘Actual Size’ for accurate printing.
A0 (Copy Shop) Option / Projector Option
We offer both A0 (Copy Shop) and Projector options. You can find the files in their respective folders. For your convenience, layer options for each size are included in the pattern.

This Tie Dress pattern is clear and easy-to-follow, especially with the help of the YouTube tutorial. I love the simple yet elegant design of this dress; it was very fun to make! I have just finished it, but I’m deciding if I want to make some changes and tweaks to make it more flattering for my body type. Regardless, I would still highly recommend this pattern to anyone!
The Tie Dress video is so helpful in learning this pattern! And I recommend watching the video on the pattern page (at the end of the photos) because the designer talks about how this is an oversized pattern with a lot of ease and you need to know your body type and how different styles look on you. I think this pattern works best when you have a defined waist to cinch. I love the ingenious technique to sew the bodice neck - which gives a flawless finish. Using a light drapey fabric like double gauze makes this dress perfect for hot summer days. I'm 5'9" and I added 6" to the skirt pattern because I like dresses mid-calf.
This is a lovely pattern. As a curvy lady who loves the rectangle top, I was surprised the tie dress worked in a lightweight poly cotton. But it didn't work on my figure in Fabelism's heavier Lucky Loom fabric. I made a 2 piece set from the tie dress pattern as a work around and love the results. I since made a beach coverup from this pattern as well. Thank you for this creative pattern
