SUGGESTED FABRIC

This pattern is designed to cater to your fabric preferences and can work with a variety of lightweight to medium-weight woven fabrics such as:

- Linen: Ideal for a breathable and comfortable skirt with a relaxed drape.
- Cotton: Provides a classic and versatile option, perfect for everyday wear.
- Silk: Adds a touch of luxury and sheen to your skirt, perfect for special occasions.
- Seasonal Woven Fabrics: Explore seasonal options for a unique and stylish twist.

For a flowy skirt look, we recommend selecting fabrics with more drape, such as chiffon, rayon, or jersey.

To accentuate the pleated details of your skirt, we recommend using more structured woven fabrics, such as cotton twill, denim, or jacquard.

Hanbok Wrap Skirt

Recently bought this pattern online it was easy to order and download, then to print out and piece together. The skirt was easy to cut out and sew I made a reversible skirt with two different patterned cotton fabric because I felt the fabric was not thick enough, daughter was really happy with it, I would include a photo but can’t seem find an option to upload it,

ISSUE REMEDIED: Does not suit fabric less than 56” wide

Update:
Thank you for acknowledging this issue! I am updating my review to acknowledge that the product information has been updated, and also that it’s been explained to me how to still use the pattern to suit the 42” fabric option. I would consider myself a ‘confident beginner’, but perhaps not confident enough to try on my own to modify the existing pattern and instructions as printed to accommodate this difference! Thank you so much for helping me understand how to still use this pattern, which I have been so eager to try. Looking forward to a beautiful skirt!

Original:
The fabric requirements indicated on the second product image provide quantities for both 42" and 60" fabric. I purchased this pattern solely to use up 43" fabric. Upon purchasing and reading through the instruction PDFs, I learned you can ONLY use 56-60" fabric. This is not made clear in the product description prior to purchase- only after purchase. This is false advertising. I have requested a refund for my purchase.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and I’m truly sorry for the confusion. You are right—the product photo was not updated in time, and that was our mistake. (It has now been corrected.)

The recommendation to use 56–60' wide fabric is simply because it makes the sewing process easier and more convenient. However, this does not mean you cannot use narrower fabric. Since the panels are rectangular, joining pieces is very straightforward, and with the pleated skirt design, the seams blend in naturally without being noticeable.

I originally removed the 42' fabric requirement from the instruction to avoid confusion, as I did not cover the joining process in detail in the sewalong video. That may have unintentionally caused more concern, and I’m sorry for that. Please rest assured—you can definitely use your 43' fabric without a problem.

Easy peasy and beautiful

This pattern was so easy to sew! I am an intermediate sewist and for the first time, I actually only watched the sewalong video to make this and it came out perfect! Very detailed and easy to follow video and instructions.
I used a cotton twill fabric and the result is a beautiful skirt. I can’t wait for autumn to wear it everywhere!
Highly recommended to even beginners.
